Rachlin Classics Shea Sofa

Additional Information

A remarkably beautiful example of the sofa maker’s art from Rachlin, the Shea brings a multitude of different details into one perfect look. The classically styled Chesterfield back is deeply button-tufted, as are the rolled and padded arms. The two large loose seat cushions are plump and comfortable, with self-welted seams for enhanced style and durability. The added strength of the welt means they last and last, without pulling apart. It’s all covered in a back in a smooth, misty-gray linen, accented by a double row of polished brass nailhead trim running around the face of the arms and continuing across the button-tufted base. With four generous throw pillows, the Shea sits on trim, carved espresso feet.

Brand

  • Brand Name: RACHLIN CLASSICS
  • Brand Description:

Rachlin, one of the most respected furniture makers in America, brings a new approach to the industry. Rather than focus on reducing the cost of promotional furniture, as many companies do, Rachlin concentrates on simplifying the manufacturing process (by limiting choices) and controlling overhead, to make true high-end design, quality, and craftsmanship available at affordable price-points.

Rachlin develops fashion-forward and sometimes iconoclastic designs, featuring opulent materials, beautiful shapes, and richly detailed wood carving and finishes. However, noticing the growth of the more contemporary “Urbanologie” market, the company has also begun to develop more eclectic, colorful, whimsical, item-driven styles targeting a younger customer.

Rachlin is produced in the same highest quality upholstery factories, that supply name brands such as Ethan Allen, Thomasville, Lexington, Drexel-Heritage, and Ralph Lauren. The company also works directly with leading mills to develop the highest quality materials using high-end chenilles, silks, leather, crewel, and other decorative trims. Many of their pillow, fabric, and trim designs are exclusive to Rachlin. Most styles are designed to “float,” with the sides and the back tailored and finished as beautifully as the front. This meticulous attention to detail – hand-carving, tailoring, trim, and seating comfort – is consistent throughout their entire product line.
